Biography
Jiangjian Xie received his B.S. degree from China Agricultural University in 2007 and his Ph.D. degree from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2013. As a visiting scholar, he conducted research at the Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Health Care and Wellbeing, University of Augsburg, from January to December 2022.
Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Biodiversity Intelligence Monitoring Research Centre at Beijing Forestry University, he specializes in applying machine learning to the perception of biological acoustic and visual signals. He led or participated in more than 10 national and provincial-level projects, as well as over 10 enterprise science and technology projects. He has authored over 30 academic papers published in both domestic and international journals and conferences.
He holds six invention patents and twelve software copyrights. His noteworthy achievements have been included in the catalogue of forestry and grassland scientific and technological achievements by the Science and Technology Division of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration. Additionally, they are featured in the case base of the platform "Science and Technology for a Creative China" of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST).
