We work to foster an ecosystem where disciplines intersect, promoting faster knowledge expansion.

Biography

Dr. Xuejing Yu, MD, PhD, is an internationally recognized cardiologist and researcher in heart diseases. She obtained her MD from West China Hospital, Sichuan University; and obtained her PhD from Peking University. She worked as a cardiologist in Fuwai Cardiology Hospital (Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences) in 2010. She received her postdoc training at Harvard University and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2017-2023. She is now working as a researcher at the University of Michigan.

Her research interests are closely associated with different heart diseases, including mitochondrial metabolism in heart failure; circadian rhythm in cardiac ischemia reperfusion injury; non-coding RNAs (microRNA, lncRNA, circular RNA, etc) and heart diseases (atrial fibrillation, heart failure, myocardial infarction, etc); the application of hydrogel in myocardial infarction; the current progress of electrocardiograph and echocardiograph in heart diseases; infective myocarditis; the application of single cell genomics, RNA sequencing, metabolomics in heart diseases; and newly-invented diagnostic tools, biomarkers and treatments for heart diseases.

Dr.Yu has 20 peer reviewed articles on cardiology diseases. She has been working as an editorial board member for many international cardiology journals and has been invited as a reviewer for numerous international journals as well.
